1) Maple Sugaring Celebration

On Saturday, March 4th, the North River Wildlife Sanctuary is hosting a Maple Sugaring Celebration in Marshfield from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. Participate in outdoor stations that explore maple trees and tree tapping throughout history, tap a tree, and sample different grades of syrup and maple sugar with silver dollar pancakes. This fun and interactive program has something for all ages. Drop in anytime between 9-11am but we recommend that you plan for 1.5 hours to fully enjoy all the activities. This fun and tasty event is suitable for children 4 – 18 years old, and for adults too. If you are a member of Mass Audubon the cost is $8 for adults and children, and for non-members the cost is $12.

2) Northeast Comic Con

Northeast Comic Con Spring 2017 is happening at the Hanover Mall this weekend. On Saturday, March 4th, from 9:30 am until 6:00 pm and on Sunday, March 5th, form 9:30 am until 5:00 pm, come check out this very popular entertainment event. For fans of Comics, Collectibles, Movies, Television, Video Games, Cosplay, Personal Experiences, Nerd, Geek and Pop Culture. This is a family friendly event and will feature celebrities signing autographs and photo ops with the likes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Nicholas Brendon Adam West and Burt Ward from the TV show Batman, Mark Goddard of Lost In Space, Rob Bruce of AMC’s Comic Book Men and on Saturday only will be WWE superstar Mick Foley. Tickets are $12 for anyone over 12, and children 12 and under get in for FREE.

3) National Golf Expo

If you are itching to get back to the golf course, the 2017 National Golf Expo is happening this weekend, from March 3rd through March 5th at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston. From golf-related exhibits, interactive features, demos, seminars, apparel, equipment, instruction and more, it will all be under one roof. The hours are Friday from 12 noon until 7:00 pm, Saturday, 10:00 am until 7:00 pm, and Sunday, 10:00 am until 5:00 pm.

4) Hingham Indoor Playground

There’s a pretty great Indoor Playground at the Hingham Recreation Gymnasium, 201 Central Street
in Hingham. It is appropriate for children up to the age 5. All children must be accompanied at all times with an adult. Come play indoors with your little ones on Saturday, March 4th from 8:30 AM – 11:00 AM. They have ride-on toys, climbing structures, tumbling mats and more! Plus, a special area for kids 0 – 2. The cost is $5 per child.

5) Quilts and Textile Arts Show & Decadent Desserts

On Saturday, March 4th, from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the Second Congregational Church, 43 Highland Avenue in Cohasset is hosting the Quilts and Textile Arts Show & Decadent Desserts event. The title pretty much says it all but all are welcome and children with a hankering for something sweet must be accompanied by an adult. Admission is $15 for grown-ups and anyone under 16 is $8. There will be 50 beautiful quilts on display this year. After taking a look at the quilts head downstairs for blueberry tart, carrot cake, death by chocolate brownies and more.
