1) Hingham Jazz Festival
On Sunday, September 25th, the South Shore Conservatory’s third Hingham Jazz Festival will showcase at the Hingham campus at One Conservatory Drive in Hingham. The performance will feature the diverse talents of its own jazz/rock/pop department faculty members and also includes kicks a catered Jazz Brunch from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Last year’s brunch was a sellout. Tickets to the Hingham Jazz Festival and for Sunday’s Jazz Brunch are $30 adults, $15 children 12 and under, and $50 per person for both the Jazz Brunch and Sunday Music. For the musical performance only tickets are $25.

2) Hingham Touch a Truck
The annual Hingham Nursery School Touch a Truck 2016 is happening on Saturday, September 24th, from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm, rain or shine, at the Hingham Harbor parking lot. There will be over a dozen trucks and other equipment for exploring from Hingham DPW, Police and Fire departments. There will also be a train ride, face painting and concessions. Lunch options include Peel Pizza and Nona’s Homemade Ice Cream. Cost of admission is $5.00 per person or $20.00 per family, with children under 1 year old can get in free. Train rides are an additional $1 per ride.
3) Fairy Garden
On Saturday, September 24th, from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm, the Evening Garden Club of Plymouth, 11 North Street in Plymouth, is hosting a Fairy Garden with multiple hidden fairy homes. Admission is only $5 to the event and you can feel free to wear your favorite fairy outfit. There will be activities as you stroll through the outside patios to find all of the hidden fairy homes.

4) Family Field Day at South Shore Medical Center
On Sunday, September 25th, the South Shore Medical Center, 143 Longwater Drive in Norwell is having their first ever family-friendly, outdoor event at South Shore Medical Center campus from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. As a way to celebrate health and wellness, the plan is filled with music, food, face-painting, arts and crafts, and prizes. Some of the events include an inflatable rock wall, pitching speed measure, basketball shooting challenge, football target toss, golf putting challenge and memory games, The best event is the “Dunk-a-Doc” in the Dunk Tank! Don’t miss your chance to get your primary care physician or pediatrician dunked!

Hingham House of Prayer, at 916 Main St in Hingham is celebrating Oktoberfest on Saturday, September 24th, and Sunday, September 25th, from noon until 5:00 pm each day. Not only can you sample authentic German food and beverages, but there will also be a silent auction, raffle, children’s corner, bake table and local crafts. Proceeds will go to worldwide missions, local food pantries and social ministries.
