1) Evening Under the Stars
South Shore Conservatory’s Evenings Under the Stars Festival Orchestra Presents “Let the Celebration Begin!” on Saturday, July 9th at 7 PM. This is the concert series first event to celebrate their 20th anniversary season.
This is a lovely open air summer concert held in the Jane Carr Amphitheater at One Conservatory Drive in Hingham. This Saturday’s presentation features the works of Beethoven, Gershwin, and Shostakovich among others. The second half of the concert features the Pops theme an American in Paris, the 1812 Overture and of course, Stars and Stripes forever. Maestro Palmer is celebrating his 20th season conducting and this also features two-time SSC Concerto Competition Winner Karen Ji of Hingham. Tickets purchased before the day of the concert are $40 for pavilion and $25 for lawn seating, and those purchased at the door are $5 more. There is no charge for children under three.

2) Church Fair on the Green
On Friday, July 8th and Saturday July 9th come to Marshfield for the First Congregational Church annual summer fair at 1981 Ocean Street from 10 AM until 7 PM. There promises to be a multitude of various activities, vendors and activities so just drop by.

3) Cohasset Junior Triathlon
On Saturday, July 9th, children ages 6 to 14 are invited to participate in a safe, fun triathlon just for kids. Park at the South Shore Music Circus, 130 Sohier Street, for the race starting at 7:00 AM. The triathlon and activities wrap up by about 11:30 AM. Registration fees range from $35 to $90 and the event is limited to 400 children. Online registration is on the Cohasset Junior Triathlon website and must have been completed pre-event. 4) Family Wompatuck Hike
On Sunday, July 10, come to Wompatuck State Park for this family friendly, father-led hike called “Hike it Baby Dad’s Hike.” Starting at 10:00 AM join other families to have an easy hike and wrap up by a 11:00 AM. This is a free event open to all families and individuals. The Hike it Baby is an initiative to encourage getting outdoors and walking one mile every day for 30 days.

5) Hull Artists Open Studios
The Hull Artists Open Studios is always a great way to see the entirety of Hull and the 7 miles of coastline. Saturday and Sunday, July 9th and July 10th, come pick up your map for this wonderful FREE event and enjoy the variety of Hull artistic talents. Visiting is from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM both days, rain or shine. Pick up your maps at Gallery Nantasket, Gallery Nantasket, 121 Nantasket Avenue in Hull.
