1) Hanover Day
On Saturday, June 25th, the town of Hanover is celebrating Hanover Day with numerous festivities and culminating in a fireworks display. There will be a road race, carnival, a huge community effort art project, pony rides, magicians, clowns… basically the works!! Hanover Day starts at 9:00 AM and runs until 10:00 PM. the majority of activities are free, but some are low-cost. Come to Sylvester Field, located at 95 Hanover Street, in Hanover.

2) North Star Pro Rodeo
On Saturday, June 25th, the North Star Pro Rodeo is happening at the Marshfield Fairgrounds, 140 Main Street, in Marshfield, from 10:00 AM until 8:30 PM. There will be bull riding, saddle bronc riding, bareback bronc riding, steer wrestling, team roping, barrel racing and more. Tickets cost from $20 to $30 and they can be ordered online or purchased at the gate.

3) Sustainable Garden Tour
A Sustainable Garden Tour throughout Scituate, Cohasset and Hull is happening on Saturday, June 25th, from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM. Many gardeners who make sustainability their priority will open up their garden spaces. See how beekeeping, backyard chickens and composting make a manicured organic garden happen. Included on the tour are homes with backyard fruit bearing trees, a Scituate school garden and a Food Pantry garden.Tickets are $25 ahead of time, and $30 the day of the garden tour. Children 18 and under are FREE. The tour originates from Holly Hill Farm in Cohasset, 236 Jerusalem Road in Cohasset.

4) Sunset Hayride
The Mass Audubon South Shore Sanctuaries is hosting a sunset hayride through the beautiful Daniel Webster Wildlife Sanctuary on Saturday evening, June 25th, at 6:30 PM. Gather around a fire and listen to some interesting, seasonal stories before your relaxing tractor pulled wagon takes you on a tour of this spectacular grassland habitat with encouragement to observe all of the activity. There might be a chorus of frogs, a bloom of fireflies, or flying bats. As the evening winds down, watch the stars and enoy some light refreshments. The cost is $10 for non-members and $7 for Audubon members.

5) Nature Walk in Norwell
Take a Sunday stroll at the South Shore Natural Science Center on June 26th starting at 12:00 noon. Learn about native plants, nesting bird species and some of the local mammals that find their home in our woods and fields. The South Shore Natural Science Center is located at 48 Jacbos Lane, in Norwell. Children are encouraged to participate. Admission is $7 for adults, $3 for children and those under the age of 2 are admitted for free.
