The main event for the day is the chance to shop for native plantings and become informed about which are best for attracting things like hummingbirds, other bird species and butterflies. There is also an art exhibit in the gallery featuring the vivid colors of award winning artist Marcia Ballou whose work is a mixture of collage and color with the theme, “Backyard Birds and a Bunny.” Ballou will be on hand to talk about her work.
