1) The Taste of Hingham
It’s finally here!! On Saturday, May 21st, from noon until 3:00 PM, the long-awaited Taste of Hingham takes place in historic Hingham Square. The Taste of Hingham started in 2004 as a way to share and celebrate the many talents that the town of Hingham has to offer. The event has raised more than $175,000 to benefit local South Shore organizations. Funds raised are distributed to non-profit organizations by the Board of Outreach of the Hingham Congregational Church. The annual event usually attracts more than 3,000 visitors so get there early and enjoy music, art projects for kids, horse-drawn hayrides and samples of food from restaurants in Hingham. Rain Date is Sunday May 22.

2) Shadow Dancing
The Company Theatre’s 2016 Special Events series presents a live shadow performance called, “Catapult, The Art of Shadow Dancing”, with two shows on Saturday, May 21st at 3 pm and 8 pm. The Company Theatre for the Arts is located on 30 Accord Park Drive in Norwell. Catapult combines shadows, dance and animations to tell stories using eight dancers who create shadows of dragons, castles, and animals. The troupe recently completed a 4 month European tour and this is a show not to be missed. To order tickets go to the Company Theatre website, or call 781-871-2787.
3) Holly Hill Farm Organic Plant Sale
On Saturday and Sunday, May 21st and May 22nd, Holly Hill Farm is having its annual plant sale from 10 until 4 pm each day. Certified organic plants are started in the Holly Hill Farm greenhouses and include a wide variety of vegetables, flowers, fruits and herbs. You can also find seeds, soils, composts, fertilizers, and pest control – all organic. All Holly Hill Farm staff will be available to help you choose the right plant material. 4) Hull Town Wide Yard Sale
On Saturday and Sunday, May 21st and May 22nd, from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm both days, Hull is having its Stem to Stern Town Wide Yard Sale Day. Over 100 individual yard sales will take place in Hull hosted by residents, businesses and organizations.

5) Walk at Hingham’s Worlds End
On Saturday, May 21st from 2:00 pm until 3:30 pm, enjoy one of Hingham’s green space gems with the Olmsted Walk at World’s End. This is a historic walk of World’s End from a landscape architect’s point of view. Learn about Fredrick Law Olmsted’s design for a residential community and World’s End. Meet in the parking lot at World’s End. Fee is $5: members and $10 for non-members. For more information, visit the World’s End website.
