1) 60th Annual Arts Festival
The Second Parish in Hingham, 685 Main Street is wrapping up its 60th Annual Arts Festival this weekend so be sure to get into to see all the color. The open hours are on Friday, May 13 and Saturday, May 14th, from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM, and on Sunday, May 15, the last day, from noon until 4:00 PM. This is one of the South Shore’s most popular art events featuring the work of over 200 artists. There is also a Junior artist exhibit with over 350 pieces of student art bring some whimsy to the colorful event. There will be a special evening event tonight, Friday, May 13th, from 5 pm until 8 pm, where you can come in and taste a selection of wine and beer from Main Street Market and Deli.

2) Morning Plant Sale for Perennials
On Saturday, May 14th, from 8 am until noon, the Perennial Gardeners in Norwell are having plant sale at 78 Main St. Take a short ride and find common and uncommon native plants including the most hardy perennials, irises, various ground covers, sun and shade plants and border plants.

Hull Garden club is also having their annual plant sale tomorrow, Saturday, May 14 starting at 10 am off of George Washington Blivd.
3) Science Fiction for Tweens
The Derby Street Shoppes, 96 Derby St., in Hingham, is presenting a Science Fiction & Fantasy for Tweens at Barnes & Noble starting at 2 pm on Saturday, May 14th. Local authors Monica Tesler and MarcyKate Connolly will lead a discussion about current events in the science fiction and fantasy genres with time questions.

4) Asparagus Dinner at Holly Hill Farm
Holly Hill Farm is having their annual “farm-to-table” asparagus dinner from 6 until 10 pm Saturday night, May 14 at Holly Hill Farm, 236 Jerusalem Road, in Cohasset. Chef Maryann Saporito from Hola! in Marshfield is preparing a five-course meal. The menu is $125 per person if you are a Holly Hill Farm member, and $150 per person for non-members. Wine and beer pairings are included in the price, as is a tour of the asparagus field where you can learn about growing this perennial vegetable organically.

5) Social Ballroom Dance with the South Shore Dancers
The South Shore Dancers will hold dancing lessons at the Cushing Memorial Hall, 673 Main St., in Norwell from 7:30 pm until 11 pm. Lessons begin promptly at 7:30 and dress is semiformal, optional. Music is provided by a DJ and open ballroom dancing begins at 8 pm. The cost for this event is $12 and advanced reservations are suggested by calling 781-659-4703 or emailing email@example.com.
