Please see the time and date summary at the end of the listings.
1) South Shore Conservatory (SSC) Performathon
Barnes & Noble at the Derby Street Shoppes in Hingham is hosting the South Shore Conservatory’s annual “Performathon,” on Thursday, March 31, from 5 to 9 , Friday, April 1 from 4 to 9, Saturday, April 2, from 9 to 6, and Sunday, April 3, from 12 to 5 pm.
SSC students of all ages perform to help raise money for SSC’s Scholarship Fund by soliciting sponsor pledges. Last year saw more than 330 Conservatory students performing for the event. Students perform in blocks of one hour time slots with short breaks in between each set. Depending on when you decide to drop by, you might hear solo or chamber pieces on piano, saxophone, flute, trumpet, guitar, oboe, clarinet, percussion, violin, viola and cello, as well as voice. Please mention the SSC at checkout if you make any purchases at Barnes & Noble since a percentage of each sale will be donated back to South Shore Conservatory.
